CH Swiss teddy is a rough coated guinea-pig.
The hair must be thick and regular, the length is 5/6cm /- and dense over all the body and springy. The hair on the stomach are curled and can be shorter. CH/Swiss shown U/5 -5-8 can have a shorter coat as long as the density is good.
CH-teddy has a solid built body with broad shoulders. The head is large, none pointed, with eyes well placed. The eyes are large and bright. The ears have to be hanging, well formed and large.
All colours and combinations are allowed.
Faults: Flat Hair anywhere on the body, Ear Folds

Exhibiting in the U/5 classes
CH/Swiss Teddies younger than 6 months can have a considerable shorter coat; as long as the density is satisfactory the cavy should not be penalised.
Exhibiting the CH/Swiss (read breed standard in conjuction with the statement below.
All colour combinations are allowed.
It should also be noted that(being a new and emerging variety)exhibitors of this particular breed should be encouraged to aim towards these breed standards to the best of their ability.
CH SWISS originated in Switzerland and is fast becoming a new and emerging breed at Cavy Shows.
